CORAL

70 x 70 x 153cm

Now more than ever, coral reefs need our help. This installation is a representation of the effects of the climate crisis on coral bleaching. I have created this piece in an effort to promote change and reflect visually how our actions are quite literally making the world a less Vibrant place.

Working with Ceramics and Plaster, I replicated the beauty and fragility of marine life. As the Climate Crisis continues, Coral Bleaching is having a devastating impact on the ocean environment and habitats within it.

The Sculpture Gallery, Leeds

“We visited a superb end of year exhibition by second-year students of Leeds Arts University. Flora's piece, Coral, really stood out to us as a well-made, thought provoking, and yet beautiful piece of sculpture. We immediately decided it deserved a place in the Gallery, to give the sculpture greater exposure, and to reward Flora for a truly innovative piece of work. We hope you enjoy it.”
